On 27th April, 2023, Women Cell, a unit of Jhanji Hemnath Sarma College Teacher’s Unit, in association with NSS Unit, Jhanji Hemnath Sarma College organised a Health Awareness Programme in the institution’s adopted Village. For the same, Dr Pragya Annakha Gogoi was invited as a resource person to speak on the topic “Health and Hygiene for Women”. The event also included distribution of sanitary napkins to women of the village which were sourced from a non- governmental organisation- Pathik.

The International Women's Day was celebarted at Jamuguri L.P. School by Jhanji Hemnath Sarma College with the special gathering of adopted village of the college. Six elderly women were feliciated during the event.

A blood Grouping Camp was organised by NSS Unit and Student Support & Progression Cell, Jhanji Hemnath Sarma College in association with Joint Director of Health Service, Sivasagar. 186 no of individuals were benefited by the programme.

7-Day NSS special programme (Camp) was organised at Deoraja neighbouring area which included Schools, Maidams and Village Survey, Practice Teaching, Workshops on debating, Speech and Recitation etc were conducted. A plantation and Cleanliness drive was also organised for the same event. 

Sahido ka Sata Naman programme was organised by 49 Assam Naval Unit, NCC, Jhanji Hemnath Sarma College Unit. In thie programme, 8 families were felicitated by NCC Unit and College authority.

International Women’s Day was organised by the women cell in collaboration with NSS Unit, Jhanji Hemnath Sarma College.

A Vaccination drive was arranged at the College Premises with help of the Health Centre, Mora Bazar, Sivasagar for the Students, Teachers, Employees, and Stakeholders.

A plantation programme was organised by the college fraternity at Aranyam Khetra, Kamalabari, Geleky, Sivasagar.

An initiative has been taken by the Jhanji Hemnath Sarma College to preserve Khongiya Phukan’s Maidam at Dibrual Village under Hati Ghuli Gaon Panchayat.

The International Women's Day was celebrated outside the college campus in the adopted village of the college with the initiative of NSS, Bharat Scout and Guide and UBA Cell, Jhanji Hemnath Sarma College

A survey was conducted in the adopted villages of the college with the initiative of Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan Cell and NSS Unit, jhanji Hemnath Sarma College.

A programme was organised by college fraternity on the occasion of National Unity Day. 150 students actively participated in the programme along with College Staff.

One day traffic rules awareness programme was organised by the college authority in the Jhanji area of Sivasagar district to make the public more concern about the rules to be followed on the roads for safety and prevention of accidents.

6 days special camp was organised by NSS Unit in Charing, Silpukhuri High School and Jhanji Hemnath Sarma College.

A Cleanliness drive was organised by Green Club and NSS Unit under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan of Govt. of India at Sati Sadhani Shishu Udhyan at Charing Sivasagar.

The day was celebrated by plantation and a lecture programme held on the occasion in the college premises. 50 NSS volunteers and college students attended the programme.

The Camp was organised by Women Cell in collaboration with NSS unit on the occasion of International Day Celebration in Moran Chinga Gaon, Sivasagar and 150 families have benefited from the camp. 50 NSS volunteer participated in the programme.

A rally was organised by the NSS Unit, NCC Wing and college fraternity in participation of 130 students. Mr. Basanta Handique delivered a lecture on ‘Unity’ of our country in the programme.

An orientation programme was organised by NSS unit of the college and 114 students attended the programme.

College fraternity  in collaboration with NSS Unit organised the flood relief camp in the Dikhowmukh Area, Sivasagar District. Distributed rice, medicine, mineral water and other essential items among the flood affected 52 families.
