Campus Activites



                               The 8thAbhijit-Nilotpalmemorial All Assam Debating Competition was held on 30th July 2013. The topic of the Competition 

     was “In the present scenario Mass Media has fueled in social indiscipline.” Sri JintoGohain, A students of Assam School of Journalism .Guwahati 

     was judged as the best debater out of 24 participants. Assam School of Journalism, SibasagarGrils’ College and J.B College Jorhat secured 1st 2nd 

     and 3rd position respectively in the competition.



                              The Sanskrit Divas was observed by the department of Sanskrit on 20th August.2013.Dr. Krishna KantaHandique, Former vice Principal

      of the College presided over the meeting.Sjt. RajaniKantaGoswami, Formerprincipal I/C of the College attended as the Chief Guest..



                                A Symposium on the Topic” UnabingsaSatikarAsomorSamajJivan” was held in the banner of Assamese department of the college on 

        28th September 2013. Dr. NagenSaikia, eminent education and the former president of AxomSahityaSobha” attended the programme where 

       Sjt. Bhabani Kumar Baruah, the former Principal,I/C chaired the programme as the Chair person.


                                A workshop was organized on the topic “A Grooming Session on Communication skills” by the “Career Counseling Cell” of the College

       on 27th October 2013 .SjiBasantaGogoi , an executive of SBI attended the programme as a resource person.


                               A student’s quiz competition was organized by Gandhi Study Center of the college on 17th October 2013.

            STREET PLAY:

                                A street play Programme was organized by “Women Cell” of the college in collaboration with “AxomlekhikaSantha” Jhanji Sakha 

       and JhanjiMahila Sangha on 8th March 2014.                  

                                A group of artist from Sivasagar district administration performed a street play in the college promises on 25th March 2014. The 

       programme was organized by Sri Prasanta Sarmah,a well-known cultural activist with a view to encourage the students to cast their vote election.


                               On the occasion of international Women Day on 28th March 2014 an essay competition held on the topic of “Need of Women 

       education in the present day (for school level students).And “Women Education and Equal Right” (for degree level students). The competition was 

       organized jointly by Equal Opportunity Center and Women Cell of the college.
